How do I figure out how much concrete I need?

Concrete is ordered by the cubic yard. To estimate, measure the length and width of your pour area in feet and the depth in inches. Then follow the equation below:

Length (ft) × Width (ft) × Depth (in) ÷ 12 ÷ 27 = cubic yards

For example, a 10' × 10' slab poured 4" thick needs about 1.25 cubic yards. We recommend adding 5–10% for uneven ground and spillage so you don’t come up short mid-pour.
